Out of the clouds

I looked through the clouds n saw your smile shine through
time moving slow
but time can not define you
I tried to focus
it was like locusts and fireflies were flying by
that's when You looked over and said "Hi"
which was right, cos I surely was
You were kinda buzzed but you spoke softly
had this monkey on my back I couldn't get off me
tried to chat to you but my words forgot me
I mean I forgot my words, it was all a haze
then the light came on, I steadied my gaze
"Goddamn! Forget whats wrong with me
I just have to say, you're really, really, REALLY pretty..."
then we all laughed
the time zoomed fast
somebody tapped my shoulder
n said: "Puff, puff, pass..."

Not often
but every once in a shooting star
you meet someone
who
because they embrace

in eagerness or fatigue
but it's okay
for she knows

I met a girl
who thinks her feet
are too small
yet I can't look away
when she's smiling
there's a curious spot
on her face
and she lives in my hiding place
